I believe we have a birthday girl today! Happy birthday to you, I hope you enjoy your day (after you’ve done some activities from the blog of course!) A couple of reminders before we get going; don’t forget to check the P.E. blog for Mr Barnes’ challenge and make sure you collect your seeds from the bottom of the school path for the Enterprise activity. I have had one video taking part in the challenge already.
One of our class members has been painting a self-portrait to enter a competition. What do you think class 2? I think it’s amazing. We certainly have a very talented artist in our class.
We also have another science investigation video to share.
On the plan for today:
English – Using Purple Mash to retell a story
Spelling – Purple mash quiz
Maths – Time
R.E. – Forever Friends
ICT – Games from Barefootcomputing.org
English – Your task is to go onto Purple Mash 2do and use the template to rewrite the story of the Three Little Pigs. It can be any version of the story that you have heard this week. Remember to check your punctuation carefully. There are some prompts on the template to help you. Please remember to add your name to the front – I know who’s work is who’s but no-one else will if it is posted on the blog!
Spelling – Stay on Purple Mash 2do and complete the spelling quiz.
Maths – Today’s lesson on time covers the objective how many minutes in an hour.

and the exit quiz
There is also an extension activity on Seesaw that you can complete either today or tomorrow.
R.E.- Today’s lesson from Oak Academy follows on really well from yesterday’s wellbeing work and Mrs Ledingham’s kindness challenge. You are going to hear one of my favourite kindness and positivity stories as part of the lesson. You will need some coloured pencil crayons if you have them.

In addition, Mrs Atkinson has sent us the link for this story of the Good Samaritan. https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/clips/zcyr87h
When you have watched it, can you draw a picture of when you have carried out an act of kindness.
Computing – Today you have two games that you can play online. They are designed to help support logical thinking.

If you want to sign up officially to the Big Garden Birdwatch here’s the link https://www.rspb.org.uk/get-involved/activities/birdwatch/everything-you-need-to-know-about-big-garden-birdwatch/
Final reminder – let me your vote for tomorrow’s brain break if you haven’t done so already.
