Class 2 really took on board Miss Northen’s reading challenge this week. Everyone was aiming to improve the amount of times they read and also aim to read five times or more. I have had so many excellent video clips of class 2 children reading and I shared them each morning with Miss Northen. Class 2 they really made us smile. There was a huge range of non-fiction books, fiction books, favourite picture story books and chapter books. Lots of you also added photos of yourselves reading on Seesaw and it was lovely to see how many of you were sharing books with your siblings. There were also lots of positive comments in reading logs. Miss Northen rewarded us with a whole class treat on Friday afternoon (shhhhh!!) which everyone enjoyed. Miss Northen also shared her top tip for reading really tricky unfamiliar words, as the Blueberry group came across this word in their guided reading session – micropachycephalosaurus!! I really hope you are able to keep up with your reading as it is obvious that so many of you love books and love reading for pleasure.
Reading challenge!
