On Friday Brandesburton held our Remembrance service in honour of those that gave their lives in order for us to lead the lives we do. Class 2 did lots of work on Remembrance Day last week and as well as discussing words like remembrance and armistice and the significance of the poppy,  the pupils wrote their own poetry, painted a remembrance stone and made their own poppy. Some children had also made their own poppies at home and we were also honoured to be able to see some medals from World War One.

We shall remember …
